We have to announce that our doctor, Arthur Gumer, will be retiring on June 21st! We appreciate all the time, moments, and his excellent work.
Below you will find his letter to our patients
Dr. Gumer's Retirement letter
I'm writing to share with you that I am retiring from my Obstetrics and Gynecology practice at the end of June. After nearly 41 years in medicine, 37 of those here in Atlanta, it is with mixed emotions that I reached this milestone, because I have had such a wonderful and fulfilling career. Caring for my patients has been one of my life's great honors.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of delivering more than 6,000 babies, sharing the incredible joy of welcoming a new life and celebrating that special moment with so many families. It has been equally meaningful to me to be able to provide routine care to my patients while supporting them through health concerns and health challenges and assisting in navigating the impact of such concerns and challenges on both patients and their loved ones.
One of the most significant rewards of this work has been the personal connection I have made with my patients. I've truly enjoyed hearing about your lives, your children, partners, and families and sharing joyful milestones. I hope I was able to provide comfort and support through your difficult moments as well.
As I look ahead to retirement, I'm excited to spend more time with my family, including my wonderful and supportive wife, and my exceptional children, their terrific spouses, and our fantastic grandchildren, all now living in Denver. Retirement will allow me to focus more on music, photography, running, reading, and travel, and to participate in even more hiking, biking, and skiing adventures.
My last day in the office will be June 20, 2025. While I know that changing providers can be challenging, I want to assure you that the well-trained and talented physicians of North Atlanta Women's Specialists are here to continue providing you with excellent obstetric and gynecologic care.
Thank you for trusting me with your health over the years. It has indeed been a privilege. I wish you continued health, happiness, and success in all that you do.
With gratitude and best wishes,
Arthur Gumer, MD
